Grey Water Systems

What is by GREY water?

Grey water is defined as household wastewater that comes from showers,
kitchens, laundry water, bath water and bathroom basin water.

What is the difference between Greywater and Blackwater?

Grey water is all the wastewater that drains from your shower, kitchen, bath, and bathroom basins.
Grey water has some bacteria, but it can be treated and reused in gardens and lawns,
if done properly. Black watercontains human waste, feces, urine,
toilet paperand is unsafe. It must be stored in its own tank and
disposed of very carefully.

What do you use GREY water for?

Grey water can be used for irrigation and toilet flushing, but nearly any non-contact use is a possibility.
Greywater is suitable for irrigating gardens, lawns, trees, ornamentals, and vegetable gardens.

Is rainwater GREY water?

Rainwater is water collected from roof surfaces, whereas greywater is collected from showers, kitchens, baths, bathroom sinks and washing machines.
Both water sources have very different water quality, and therefore the way the water is stored and treated is also very different.

Can you mix rainwater and GREY water?

You can and should incorporate both rainwater and greywater into your recycling system.
It creates an even bigger cost saving long term.

Be wise, reduce your water usage, recycle your used water, save on your water bill and help to save our planet.
